14. Tatamagouche This was a busy Acadian port throughout most of the first half of the 18th century. Regular shipments of hides, spars, cattle and other agricultural products passed through en route to Louisbourg, to Île Saint-Jean (PEI), and to other ports, as far as the Caribbean. On August 16, 1755, Willard had 12 buildings burned here, including at least 2 storehouses containing “Rum and malosas and Iron ware... Rum sugar... & wine...”.
