For decades, Cameron Highlands has attracted visitors to its cool jungles, quaint Tudor-style houses, fresh vegetables and fragrant teas. Situated on the Titiwangsa mountain range, Cameron Highlands is one of the country’s most fertile agricultural sites. The true character of a tea is greatly influenced by conditions at the tea estates; namely high altitude, low temperatures, abundant rainfall and acidic soil.
You are free to explore the BOH Sungai Palas Tea Centre, visit the exhibition hall and audio visual room, and even walk over to the factory to witness first hand how tea leaves are processed.
Like any tea plantation in Cameron Highlands, this estate offers some amazing landscapes and stunning panoramic views. While perhaps cliché, it comes highly recommended to take a breather and enjoy a fresh cup of tea while taking in the breathtaking view.
