Spicer Link
Spicer Link is a relatively new track (opened 2015 thanks to the Mana Cycle Group) around the foothills of Colonial Knob (Rangituhi) connecting the Raiha Street entrance to Spicer Park. It's mainly intended as mountain bike link forming a loop with The Doctor and Tumeke. Spicer Link and The Doctor are shared bike/walk tracks but Tumeke is MTB downhill only. Spicer Link also crosses other MTB tracks like Crash Palace so take care to keep to the right track.
If you want to do a loop walk on foot then Spicer Link, The Doctor and the lower part of the 4WD track form such a loop. You can do the same on a mountain bike but with additional options via Tumeke (grade 3/4) or Crash Palace (grade 5).
The location
Spicer link is mostly a forest walk but from a few locations you can see beyond the trees. It's not exactly the best view in Porirua but it's something.
The cache
The cache is off the track a little bit and it's not the easiest place to get to but expect an easy find when you're close. You'll be out of the way of mountain bikers while signing the log.
