Echo Point offers magnificent views towards Mt Warning and the volcanic caldera in NSW and Mt Wagawn and Mt Durigan further south along the border.
Echo point (WP1) is a 10klm walk from the Green Mountain (O’Reilly’s) car park. It follows a slightly rising graded track towards the Qld – NSW border and utilises part of the Albert River circuit. Completing the Albert River circuit adds an extra 3 or 4 klm to the journey but is worth the effort as you travel through pristine rainforest with numerous waterfalls and cascades.
And yes a decent Cooee does resound from the valley below.
To find this cache you must visit the Echo Point bush campsite (WP2) which is about 160m west along the track and locate a timber directional sign then locate the five digit sign registration number (ABCDE).
