A cache located on a little used, steep stairway track linking Launceston to Trevallyn. Pain and exertion favour the brave as they journey from bottom to top.
Heading up, start your climb from Trevallyn Road beside the entrance to the Gorge walkway. Or, trek downwards with the track commencing from a secluded entry beside 27 South Esk Road.
The track is steep, however, a number of thoughtfully placed seats will reduce the effort.
At ground zero, take a seat, get your breath back and take some time to appreciate the river and city views. This views are perhaps even more spectacular once the sun goes down.
