The Cascade Trail draws us out to enjoy being outside for beauty and relaxation, on this old railway grade that is relatively flat and wide enough for bikes, walkers, hikers, runners, dog walkers and even the occasional horse with rider. There are lots of places to enter the trail and we can choose how far we want to walk.
A few years ago there were 129 caches put out along the trail in a coordinated effort to draw people to hiking the trail. After those caches were archieved it's been fun to see new caches coming out along the trail and by not having them appear all at once, geocachers can revisit many times, always to find more caches. This cache is our part in sharing this beautiful trail and inviting you to come find some caches.
We like to park at Healy Road, but there is only room for a car or two there. It makes a nice hike to this, the furtherest cache west of those we put out on this stretch of trail. Frankly we chose this stretch because we had already adopted a multi cache along here and it would be easier to watch over and care for the caches if they were in the same area.
We tried to make each of the caches a little different from each other. This one is a little smaller and you'll need your own writing utensil. It's a bison tube and we do ask that you leave the lid attached and just open the tube and remove the log to sign and return it back carefully.
