A lovely walk that follows around Lake Tarawera, a well managed track with family bush walking in mind.
As you will be driving on a section of Fletcher Forestry Land,you will need to obtain a permit first from information centre via Kawerau town centre, Phone 07-346-2082.
Tarawera Outlet Xmas Tree cache.
From the swing bridge, take a left and down the trail you must go. Past the arm chair rock, no time to stop!
Move further down the track till you come to a rise, with a clearing at it's base. Check your GPS.
With your back to the lake look for a big old Kiwi Xmas tree. At head height in the fork of the tree,
look for a Photo cannister,a step up will be needed to reach the prize.
Enter the new waypoint to find the cache.
Keep and eye out for muggles.
