The cache:

Parking is available at N43°37.694' by W79°44.032' which can only be accessed via '2nd Line' off of 'Old Derry Road'.

Stage 1 (Virtual)

You are looking for a 4 digit number (not the year on the meter) of which the sum of the digits is 23. Divide the 4 digit number by 1000 and add the result to the minutes of N43°30.129' and W79°36.603' to obtain the coordinates of stage 2.

Stage 2 (Virtual)

Many scouts and guides learn to 'Hug-a-tree' if they become lost. How many scouts/guides would it would take to give this tree a full hug? Assume that their typical arm span is approximately 5.5 feet. To obtain the latitude of stage 3, Substitute the X in N43°37.7X6' with the number of scouts/guides. To obtain the longitude of stage 3, Substitute the Y in W79°44.2Y4' with the number of scouts/guides PLUS 2.

Stage 3 (Virtual)

Nearby is a sign that reads 'XX Adults and YY Children'. Combine the numbers in the form XXYY, divide it by 1000 and add the result to the minutes of N43°36.132' and W79°42.533' to obtain the coordinates of stage 4.

Stage 4 (Virtual)

You are looking for a four digit number that is nearby (under 2 feet). Divide the 4 digit number by 1000 and add the result to the minutes of N43°36.002' and W79°42.188' to obtain the coordinates of stage 5.

Stage 5 (Virtual)

You are looking for another four digit number that is nearby (under 2 feet). Divide the 4 digit number by 1000 and add the result to the minutes of N43°35.825' and W79°42.291' to obtain the coordinates of stage 6.

Stage 6 (Physical)

On to the final cache. The trail will bring you to within approximately 15 meters. You are advised to continue down the trail until you are under a tree that crosses the trail and is resting on another broken tree. From here you should go south about 6 meters and then follow the GPSr to the cache.

The remaining section is for trainers only.

Training Steps:

1. Send me an email with desired training date.
2. Upon confirmation from me, proceed with remaining steps.
3. Visit cache shortly before training and place trinkets.
4. Find the cache and make exchanges and log entries.
5. Re-hide the cache containing the logbook only.
6. Trainer and students to create logs on cache page.

ENJOY!
