Ut mot havet ligg eit idyllisk område som vert mykje brukt til friluftsliv og rekreasjon. Her kan ein m.a. ta fot- og sykkelturar på ein gammal grusveg som går frå Skarleet heilt ut til Støene (Uri). I dette området ligg òg det fine og populære strandområdet Sandvika. The area on the part of the island facing the ocean is widely used for outdoor life and recreation. Here you can go hiking or bicycling on a gravelled road that runs from Skarleet (where the tarmacked road at Flem ends) all the way to Støene. Here you will also find the beautiful and popular area Vikane or The Sand Beach.
