Pennsylvania State Game Lands are regulated and managed for hunting and trapping. They are paid for by hunting licenses. Respect the rights of hunters to be in these spaces. You must wear orange between November 15 and December 15. It's a good idea to wear orange during hunting seasons (and there are many).
For much of the year, if you don't want to worry about hunters, hike on Sunday. But hunting is now allowed on some Sundays in November. Frankly, it's best to stay out of gamelands during deer season. And the gamelands where this cache is are stocked with pheasants which are in-season in October and November.

Hunting times are one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset. When those times happen vary by time of year and east-west location within the state.
