Geocache Description:

For information on how to get to this cache see Hidden Gems: Dray.

This cache marks the bush edge - where the Alexander track proper starts. Leave your 4-wheel drive car here and set off on foot. Just 200m away up the road on your right is Tummil Hut. This is a private hut, on private land, but you are welcome to stay the night there if you like. It is a hunter's hut, and is lined with trophies from the area. Including a wallaby!

Shortly after you set off you will cross a stream into DoC land. The track is tramping grade, so not suitable for mountain biking. however it is mostly flat. There are a number of stream crossings, expect to get your feet wet!

But before you set off - don't forget to find this cache!

Here is a topo map of the area. You are welcome to print it off to take along.
