Geocache Description:

The goal of the Kern County Veterans Service Department remains the same today as when it was first established in 1944: to assist veterans, their dependents, and survivors to obtain the benefits they have earned as a result of their honorable military service.

This is the same physical location, although a new building, as when it was established in World War II, it moved for a few years to the east end of the alley in an old adobe building and then to this newer (1969ish) building which the department occupies now.  Use caution as there is some transient activity, and probably not the best location for night grabs.  Most occupants of the building are aware of this cache.  BYOP. Cache is a magnetic devious container that looks like chewed bubble gum.
