The old hut (above) was moved in 2015 and replaced with the new hut (below)
There is also campsites a camping shelter nearby.
Tracks can be steep and may also involve some mud.
- Mahaukura Track (Grey Road) 4-6 hrs one way.
- Tirohanga Track (Corcoran Road) 3-5 hrs one way.
- Hiwikiwi (Pirongia West Road) 4-6 hrs one way.
- Tahuanui Track (Limeworks Loop Road) 4-5 hrs one way .
- Bell Track (Limeworks Loop Road) 6-10 hrs one way .
- Wharauroa Track (Oshea Road) 4-6 hrs one way .
It is on the Te Araroa Trail.
Please take the usual precautions when entering the bush. Tell someone where you are going and ensure you have enough food, water and clothing. And enjoy.
