Geocache Description:

A magnetic keyholder

Looking to the east , you will see concrete structures that were used to test aircraft engines.

By the end of 1943 The Dodge Chicago Plant was completed and already producing aircraft engines not only were the Write Cyclone R-3350 produced for the B-29 Superfortress at Dodge Chicago Plant but aircraft engines for the B-32 Dominator and other large four engine bombers.

Ford moved into the plant later and first produced Piston Type engines and started retooling the plant to produce jet engines.

Ford required a new testing building to test the new jet engines being produced the J-57 F-1 Jet Engine.

These structures were too large to be demolished after the plants closed.
