Geocache Description:


Niu Lake is a pond for storing water.
I read "New" but read "Niu" instead of "New".
The word "Niu" has the meaning of producing red minerals consisting of mercury and sulfur.
Currently under renovation, construction is done until 2045.

丹生湖は群馬県富岡市にある貯水目的の池です。
丹生の読み方は「たんなま」ではなく「にゅう」と読みます。
丹生の語源は水銀と硫黄とからなる赤い鉱物を産出する場所という意味があります。
通年通して釣り人が訪れる場所でしたが改修のため現在は行われていません。改修作業が2045年まで行われます。
