A nice place to have lunch and enjoy the ocean view.
The lower portion of La Honda Creek Open Space Preserve opened to the public on December 1, 2017. This portion of the preserve is a working cattle ranch where one can hike along the grassy rolling hillsides and take in magnificent views of the ocean and ridgelines throughout. Most of the trails are exposed and are on ranch roads.
This cache is located about 3 miles from the Sears Ranch Road parking lot, where there are about 20 spaces for vehicles and a pit toilet. The cache itself is in a small rectangular container and contains a logsheet and some small trading items. Bring your on pen.
The park is open half an hour before sunrise to half an hour after sunset. No dogs or bicycles are allowed.
