The orginal Terrace Drive Overlook cache was one of the very early geocaches orginally hidden in this area in 2003 by EMC of Northridge, CA and cpadale. It was one of the very first geocaches that I found when I started in 2016, and I was the last logged find for that cache.
Mr. and Mrs. cpadale passed away in mid-2017 and EMC archived the cache in December of 2017. I wanted to keep a geocache at this spot so EMC encouraged me to hide a new one at this location. I also wanted to make it a token of appreciation and continue the legacy. EMC grew up on Terrace Drive in Yreka at about the same time I lived just around the corner on Discovery Street. From these locations, you could look up and see the hill where this cache is hidden now.
This new cache is located in the same spot as the original Terrace Drive Overlook. The GPS coordinates have been updated. The climb up to the GZ is short, but steep from the parking zone on Humbug Road, so I suggest decent hiking shoes. It will be obvious where the cache is when you get close.
