I can't promise BBQ's on the beach here in Knowle ( because strangely enough being almost in the centre of England there aren't any beaches close by) but please join me for a couple of hours of geochat at the Greswolde Arms Hotel, in the High street In Knowle on Sunday 28th January from 7.00 until 9.00pm.
Those attending will be able to earn a special Australian Day Geocaching souvenir. This is to celebrate Australian National Day when Captain Arthur Phillip, commander of a fleet of eleven ships with convicts from Great Britain arrived to what would become Sydney on 26 January 1788. The British flag was raised to signal the beginning of the colony. Australia Day 2018 marks the 230 years since the arrival of the First Fleet.
The post code for those that need it is B93 0LL. There is free parking in Knowle and the hotel has its own pay and display car park. You can get a refund if you take the ticket in to the Hotel and purchase a drink. Othewise just drive a little further down the side road and you will come to the free car park.
