Easy cache hidden near the Blatner Brush Pit. Blatner Pit, located at milepost 259.7 on Highway 260, is open Saturdays from 8AM-4PM. The turnoff (about 4/10th mile past where the divided highway ends West of Preacher Canyon) is a little paved road to the South. It is directly across from the 55 mph sign heading West.
This is a pretty easy cache to find. The turn off is just west of the elk crossing area on 260 Hwy. This dirt road goes to the Brush Dump where locals can take tree trimmings and brush for disposal. It is only open on Saturdays and is manned by volunteers. Recycling at its finest. The road is okay for 2 wheel drive passenger vehicles unless it is wet or snowy. There is good parking within 220 ft.of ground zero.
