Geocache Description:

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES.

You will be exploring the solar system today. The posted coordinates will take you to the Sun to begin your journey. Once you arrive at the Sun you will gather some data and then, looking to your immediate right, you should be close enough to spot Mercury. Again, at Mercury, you will gather some data, and then continue to travel in the same direction to Venus and so forth until you have visited each planet (including Pluto). Just a note: The inner four planets are clustered close together and you will only spend a few minutes at each but the outer planets are a great deal further and spread out. It might take you a full hour to visit all of them.

Let’s begin:

At the sun you will see the phrase “The Earth would be _ _ feet away.” A = 1st digit of that two digit number.

Moving on to Mercury you will see “Traveling through space at _ _ miles per second.” B = the 1st digit added to the 2nd digit.

At Venus you have “Approximately _ _ hours ago.” C = the 1st digit added to the 2nd digit.

Stopping home at Earth you: “…would have appeared about _ _ minutes ago.” D = 1st digit

Hopping over to Mars: “We have now traveled _ _ _ million miles.” E =1st digit The next part of the walk is much longer.

Eventually at Jupiter you will see “The answer is _ _!” F = 1st digit multiplied by the 2nd digit.

After some walking you will come across Saturn where there is a 14 digit number! G= the 7th digit.

When you spot Uranus (honestly people, grow up!): "…it takes _ _ years…" H = the 1st digit

Continuing to Neptune: “…more than _ _ times…” I =the 1st digit

And finally Pluto: “…the answer is _ . _ billion…” J = the 2nd digit Your journey is nearly complete.

I hope you have enjoyed exploring our little galaxy. The cache is located at:
