Geocache Description:

A Letterbox Hybrid hidden very close to the posted coordinates. Roundtrip is less than a mile from parking. In addition to the normal logbook and trade items, it also contains a letterbox stamp, inkpad, and stamp book. Please do not remove the stamp, ink pad, or stamp book. THEY ARE NOT TRADE ITEMS!

Also known as Dol Amroth, Dor-en-Ernil or "land of the princes" was founded by Galdor, who descended from a prince of Numenor and an elf maiden. It was a tower on a peninsula in the Bay of Belfalas in the second age, near the former elf ship haven "Edhellond". It is notable for Prince Imrahil, who played an important role in the defense of Minas Tirith in the War of the Rings.

To find this letterbox, park at the listed coordinates, work up on top of the ridge, then head to the posted coordinates. Slightly west of the ridgeline has the easiest path. When you get to the posted coordinates, you have three choices:
1. Project a waypoint 3 degrees true north to 0.12 miles
2. Look for the obvious hillock to the north, and make for the top (see picture below)
3. Search for a clue to help you find the final coordinates on the webpage.

Any of the three options above is sufficient: you don't have to do all three. This is not meant to be hard. I recommend approaching the top from the west side: when you climb to the top there is a shaded location that begs as the best location.

This is a letterbox hybrid. In addition to the normal logbook and trade items, it also contains a letterbox stamp, inkpad, and stamp book. Please do not remove the stamp, ink pad, or stamp book. THEY ARE NOT TRADE ITEMS!

A basic letterbox hybrid should consists of the following (this is my criteria not that of Groundspeak):
1. a stamp
2. a distinct pad of high quality art paper for collecting stamps, that is distinct from the log book, and is large enough to leave impressions from your own personal stamp.
3. An inkpad. Some geocachers omit this because it can dry out, but water can be added to the pad if needed.
A "true" letterbox would also have the following elements:
4. a hand carved stamp
5. require route finding addition to GPS coordinates: in other words the GPS leads you to the starting or intermediate point, but then a description is necessary to find the final container.
6. Be listed on letterboxing.org or similar listing.

This is a true letterbox hybrid, having all of the above components.
