The land that Haverbreaks estate and Ripley St Thomas Academy sits on, orginally all belonged to the Ripley Estate. This was divided when the Ripley Hospital was built in the nineteenth century. A small footpath divides the estate from the school. If you carry on along the footpath, you get a superb view of Lancaster and beyond. The cache is hidden on the lower section of the path, where the path is alongside the railway line and opposite the Ripley St Thomas Academy school buildings. It is a micro cache, the samllest you can imagine, and you need tweezers to extract the log.
