A travelling stock reserve on the banks of the Gara river. A nice place for a riverside picnic or to skim a few stones with the kids.
Only 15 minutes or so from Armidale along Rockvale Road.
Cache is a small black bison. There should be no need to go on the road.
Parking is available either on the Thalgarrah Environmental Centre side or on Brooklyn Road.
Listen out for the Rufous songlarks in spring and summer and as always - watch out for snakes!
