Droylsden is a town in Greater Manchester, approx. 4.1 miles (6.6km) east of the city centre. In the mid-19th century Droylsden grew as a mill town on the Ashton and Peak Forest canals, with the population growing significantly. The town now has a population of around 23,000.
Medlock Lesiure Centre was built in 1980 to provide recreation sporting activities to the local community. It now has football pitches, a cricket ground, swimming pool and gym on the site. This cache is overlooking the football pitches that can be hired out.
