The Marvel Geocaching Universe (MGU) is a collection of geocaches that are named in tribute to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. All of the characters these caches are based on belong to Marvel Entertainment.
Geocachers Assemble! This is Nick Fury, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. You are currently taking part in the Marvel Geocaching Universe route. Today, the geocaching community is in grave danger. Loki is using the Mind Stone to hypnotise muggles and use them to destroy geocaches across the community. I for one will not let this happen so we’ve assembled a team of Earth’s mightiest heroes to protect the Geocaching community. Each geocache has an assigned superhero. Below is a briefing of your chosen hero.

Quicksilver/Pietro Maximoff was a native of the Eastern European country of Sokovia who grew up with his fraternal twin sister, Wanda. The country, which was embroiled in constant war and strife, became the base of operations for a HYDRA cell operated by Wolfgang von Strucker, who recruited Pietro and Wanda to take part in a series of tests involving the Scepter, giving the twins superpowers. While his sister received a number of mental abilities, Pietro acquired the ability to move at supersonic speeds and other physical features. When HYDRA fell, the twins joined the A.I. Ultron to continue their quest for revenge on Tony Stark, but eventually switched sides and helped the Avengers when they discovered Ultron's true intentions. Pietro then fought in the Battle of Sokovia alongside all of the other Avengers, but later sacrificed his own life to protect Hawkeye and a civilian boy named Costel, much to his sister's grief.
About The Geocache
The container itself is a custom container, camouflaged. It contains only a log book. Your own writing device is required to sign the log book. You may post photos in your logs but please, no ‘post-credit’ spoilers. This is also the western end of MGU trail. From here, you can continue west and continue caching along the Grand Union Canal towards Hatton.
Why not take part in the rest of the route along the Grand Union Canal? Remember to take care whilst geocaching and keep an eye on small children if they are caching with you. The canal can be dangerous.
