Egmont Street Access to Tame Valley Way Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

necji: We did a maintenance check here and the rather large top of the container has disappeared along with the inner container with the log, the area does seem to have been tidied. So as this was a bespoke container which took some time to construct and we are not at present close by, we will unfortunately have to archive the cache. Thank you to all who visited it.

Geocache Description:

This cache is placed just up the trail on the Tame Valley Way at its junction with Egmont Street, this part is a good path and runs between the River Tame and Huddersfield Narrow Canal, with benches and a choice of paths taking you along the river, down to the canal or into the adjacent park.

The Tame Valley Way follows the River Tame for 23 miles through Greater Manchester from Stockport to Denshaw on this waterside walk. The trail passes through Ashton-under-Lyne, Stalybridge and Mossley and includes woodland sections as well as the extended sections along the River Tame and Huddersfield Narrow Canal.

You are looking for a small container hidden away out of sight that has room for TBs and a few swaps. This is a popular dog walking route so keep a look out while searching.

Good hunting.
