Dark Gateway

Art Cache

We had told them that Enough is enough!
We got used to these lovely morning days;
The weather is not too cold nor too rainy;
The economy is getting better;
Everything is OK - Fine - No worries!
What can you expect more from life?

Ok, we have a black slab in our garden;
Every now and then a guy calls and makes us going up a tree;
Before this happens a man arrives (usually in a Serpent and not with a Fork);
And yes, this CICO (see above) event offered an opportunity to meet with others Lost in the Dark, or wearing strange T-shirts.
Everything is OK - Fine - No worries!
What can you expect more from life?

Well, actually one can expect something different:

It was one of these nice Saturday afternoons (i.e. a time when you certainly do not think about people wearing suits and dark sunglasses) when the door bell rang. I opened and could not believe my eyes: there was indeed somebody in a dark suit (and dark sunglasses) who was smiling at me. I immediately covered my eyes as I was fearing that he would flash me again to erase any residual memories I might still have from previous encounters.
But now he just said hello in a very nice way and said something about the nice sunny(?) day that is perfect for verifying the location of (alien) art(efacts).
As I did not say anything, he repeated that he had come to invite me for a walk in the neighbourhood.

Slowly I gathered my senses and my curiosity was winning again.
So I asked what was the reason for such a walk and especially why me (again!)?

He smiled again and told me the most incredible story:
The aliens had been observing Geocachers since some time now. They are very much amused by our spare time activity (especially when it comes to going up vertically into the sky). From all the information they have gathered so far (including the detailed studies of me and the ones who came to rescue me from Behind Dark Bars) they came to the conclusion that we are still no threat to them at all (despite the vertical efforts).
However, they got the impression that humanity in general was getting too close to them: orange (hair style) getting the new dark, etc.

Honestly, who would really be interested in alien artefacts?
But then I knew that resistance was futile, so I went along - a walk in the park can never harm, isn't it?
Luckily this time I did not need to hide myself from him but could just walk next to him. We were chatting about various subjects - like the size of buttons, artefacts, etc.

Artwork?
Picture taken on the way - not sure anymore which one is the MID!

After a while we entered into an orbit around an alien object.
My alien companion got very angry when he saw that there was again a large part in the centre of the object missing.
I tried to explain that this might have been caused by one of these misguided beaming experiments.
Unfortunately my words enraged him even more. He pulled out his flashing device and before I could cover my eyes I was lost in the dark again.

BUT, this time I was prepared!
Never trust a guy in a dark suit and wearing dark glasses - even if he pretends to be a banker!
I had brought an anti-flashing device with me!

Take this Man in Dark!
But I was not fast enough to use my dark light against him!
He knocked it out of my hand and it fell out of orbit - into a smaller one!

I was left there captured in the round (or was it squared?) orbit!
Please come quickly and point/shine me a way out of this eternal orbit!

With many thanks - yours faithfully lost in orbit,
SFBF
