Geocache Description:

On our regular visits to Saunders Island we placed again a cache, this time close to the place where the cruise ships usually go ashore. This cache has been chosen and hidden by our 9 years old daughter Leila.

Saunders Island is the fourth largest of the Falkland Ilsands. The island is run as a sheep farm and offers camping or self-catering facilities at the Rookery, the settlement or here at the Neck where wild life is just amazing. The Neck is home to King, Rockhopper, Gentoo and Magellanic penguins, plus the world’s largest colony of black-browed albatross and many other varieties of sea bird, as well as sea lions, sea elephants and dolphins frolicking in the shallows of the beach, Saunders Island is a wildlife lovers’ paradise.

Enjoy the time while looking for this cache – you are at one of the most amazing wildlife spots of the world!
