If you arrive in Isleworth by the H37 bus you will alight from the bus outside the Isleworth Public Hall, or across the road. This is a large building in South Street. Do look at the information board outside the IPH, there are more of these boards around Isleworth, some of which will hold the clues you need and all are interesting. The first clue is a short walk away. There are parking places, some paying, in the surrounding streets of Isleworth, however parking further away or using public transport is a good idea. The 110, 267 and 481 buses pass along the Twickenham Road a short walk from the IPH. This trail collecting the clues is virtually a circular walk taking in some of the old buildings and lesser known places around Isleworth. The walk takes about an hour. When you have found the last clue return to South Street and use the bench by the IPH to sit and work out the co-ordinates of the cache.
Once you have all the numbers for the 8 clues the co-ordinates you need are: N51 2a.bcd W00 1e.fgh The cache is beyond the circle of the walk and passes a few more interesting buildings and places while walking to it.
The cache is camouflaged and can be reached 24 hours a day. There are no steps on the walk, except for kerb stones, but there are park gates to navigate. The cache is best attempted in daylight hours.
Not far from the cache is Isleworth cemetery. If it is open it is worth looking for the memorial to some members of the Pears family. They lived in Spring Grove House http://www.springgrovehouse.com/history.html
They owned the Pears factory on the site of Primrose Place, near Isleworth station. One of the family, Thomas Pears, died on the Titanic.
