This cache overlooks the Guadalupe Reservoir close to the junction of the Guadalupe and Mine Hill trails. There's some kind of access road directly beneath it that at first looked like a great place for a cache, but the road is washed out a bit higher up, so I decided to go with something closer to the trail. It's a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the view for a while.
You're looking for a small container a few feet off the trail on the downhill side. I picked up some cool red rocks on the trail nearby to complete the cache camo. There was only minimal poison oak in the area at the time of placement. I dispatched it with extreme prejudice, but as always, keep your eyes open for any that might sprout up. The terrain rating is for the last ten feet or so from the trail to the cache.
Trail hours are sunrise to sunset. Happy hunting!
Congrats to WERDAVE on the FTF!
