fwrestler: This was a fun cache to create, and had an interesting camoflauge. But unfortunately the wind (and bridge maintenance) managed to remove the cache too many times. So sayonara. We may have to look for another location (with less wind) to try this method again.

This cache is part of the Linn Creek Trail: Marshalltown History series. Follow the bike trail to a series of caches highlighting prominent figures in Marshalltown history. Each cache will require you to leave the trail and search for the hidden cache. The caches in this series vary in difficulty and terrain.

Joseph Kosinski

Son of Dr. Joel and Patricia Kosinski, film director Joseph Kosinski was raised in Marshalltown, Iowa. Kosinski’s uncompromising visual style has quickly made a mark in the filmmaking zeitgeist. His feature film debut Tron Legacy for Walt Disney Studios grossed over $400 million worldwide and was nominated for several awards.

Joseph earned an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University and a graduate degree at Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. He is currently an adjunct assistant professor of architecture where he helps students in 3D modeling and graphics. In 2008, he spoke in detail about his education in architecture, pushing the technological envelope in commercials, and his progression into feature films.
