- L'ALTRO LATO DEL PARCO - Parco Parenzo -
Storia: il parco fu progettato nel 1970 dall’Ufficio Tecnico Comunale per dotare la zona, oggetto di grande espansione urbanistica, di un’area verde che fosse, oltre che luogo di svago, anche punto d’incontro per gli abitanti dei nuovi quartieri. Il margine a nord è delimitato da una serie di orti urbani, mentre sul lato ovest, la Roggia Bartolomea fa da confine naturale al parco. Nel passato questa era un’area agricola, dotata di una fitta rete di canali che prendevano acqua dai Navigli, Grande e Pavese; la composizione argillosa del terreno e la ricchezza d’acqua consentivano la formazione di ampie e fertili marcite.
Di recente sono stati valorizzati dei piccoli corsi d’acqua, in passato utilizzati per le risaie, aumentate le alberature e aumentati i viali che danno continuità alla nuova viabilità. I nuovi ampi spazi sono movimentati da variazioni di pendenza e da percorsi che determinano una divisione a zone, nelle quali sono previste aree sportive e aree gioco per bambini e ragazzi, differenziate per età e tema. Le diverse zone sono collegate da un percorso lungo il quale si sviluppano tutte le attività. Attraverso alcuni itinerari, che partiranno dal Parco Andrea Campagna, sarà possibile praticare del cicloturismo con circuiti segnalati per ampie escursioni nel Parco Agricolo Sud.
Attività sportive: basket, calcio, frisbee e derivati, biliardino, ping-pong, bocce, corsa.

- THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PARK - Parenzo park -
History: the park was designed in 1970 by the Municipal Technical Office to provide the area, object of great urban expansion, with a green area that was, as well as a place of recreation, also a meeting point for the inhabitants of the new neighborhoods. The northern edge is bordered by a series of urban gardens, while on the west side, the Bartolomea Roggia acts as a natural boundary to the park. In the past this was an agricultural area, with a dense network of canals that took water from the Navigli, Grande and Pavese; the clayey composition of the soil and the abundance of water allowed the formation of wide and fertile rots.
Recently, small watercourses have been exploited, in the past used for rice fields, increased trees and increased avenues that give continuity to the new road system. The new wide spaces are enlivened by variations of slope and paths that determine a division into zones, where there are sports areas and play areas for children and young people, differentiated by age and theme. The different areas are connected by a path along which all the activities are developed. Through some itineraries, which will start from the Parco Andrea Campagna, it will be possible to practice cycle tourism with marked circuits for extensive excursions in the Parco Agricolo Sud.
Sports activities: basketball, soccer, frisbee and by-products, table football, ping-pong, bowls, running.
