Another cache hidden in the beautiful Waiohine River valley. By now you are well on your way to T2. So don't give up. Its not far now. T2 or bust!
The Waiohine is one of the major catchments in the central Tararua Ranges. This cache is placed close to where the path leaves the river edge rocks and climbs out onto the first of the grassy flats. Alternatively, its on the path you use to avoid walking beside the river when in flood. The cache is within 3m of the track and hidden under rocks. You are about 2-4 hours from the road end depending on your fitness and how long it takes to find all the geocaches.
