The water here used to run year round, and crawdads were plentiful. I have great memories of fishing for crawdads here in this canal with my friends as a kid. We would spend hours luring them out of their little holes in the bank with bacon tied to a string.
Those days are gone due to the water table dropping and the canal no longer running year round. Also, the use of the canal has been discontinued altogether due to the new piping that has been installed.
The best place to park is just after you cross the cattleguard. That way you won't have to walk across it.
The cache is located on my property.
