Anyone who grew up in Big Spring and the surrounding area in the 60's and 70's knpws that part of the "drag" on Friday and Saturday nights was to circle the Wagon Wheel Drive In at 4th and Birdwell. It was where all the cool people hung out. Back when the carhops brought your order out on a silver metal tray and sat it on your window. Spent almost every weekend here in my teen years. So sorry to see it so rundown and "gone". I hope if you are from the area you think of a fun memory here while finding this cache.
Yes, there were three Wagon Wheels back in the day. This one, one on Gregg Street, and one on West Highway 80 where it split. The one on Gregg moved to Scurry Street where it is is still in operation - really good food!
