Geocache Description:

Welcome to the grounds of Texas' independence from Mexico. Battles may not have been fought here, but declarations were written and signed and Texas was born into a republic. The sites you find inside are very historic to the state's beginnings, as well as a huge museum and living history farm. Open from sun up to sun down, you can roam the park, read storyboards and find geocaches. The public buildings, though, close at 4:30 or 5pm, depending on location.

This cache is placed with permission and is part of the Washington County GeoTour, the first official GeoTour in Texas, part two. Inside the container you'll find a code - write that on your Passport, box #21, for credit toward a reward geocoin. The cache is small and will only hold a log.
