The woods road at this location provided access to the rock outcrop at the time quarrying was ongoing. The main road continues to the rock outcrop between the north and south peaks of Arabia Mountain. At this location, a spur road goes to the base of the south peak and another spur goes to the base of the north peak of Arabia Mountain. The north peak was extensively quarried.
In 1889, when the Arabia Granite Company built a rail line from Lithonia to the area west of Klondike road, they also built a spur line to the north base of Arabia Mountain

Park at the Arabia Mountain Nature Center Parking Lot on Klondike Road and take the bike path south to a tree with an L shaped trunk where you can cross Klondike Road .
Proceed around the gate and take the woods road to the rock outcrop.
