It is already a tradition that we visit an event on the Thursday before Easter. This is the so-called Dönerstag.
About the history of this day:
The first Dönerstag took place on April 5, 2007, the main event was the Döner's Tag 2007 at a doner kebab store in Berlin. The rumors say, that the first doner kebap has been created there and we celebrate the day to honor the first and original doner kebab. The goal was to set up a Germany-wide "decentralized mega-event", which unfortunately was not approved by Geocaching.com. But still, many smaller events were held at the same time, e.g. in Germany, Austria, South Tyrol, Mallorca, etc. and later also in Switzerland.
The Dönerstag is a series of event caches that take place every year on Maundy Thursday at several doner kebab stores.
As we are going to spend our holidays at the Faroe Islands during the event day, we thought of create our own event:
