Geocache Description:

I came up with the name of the series from a game show that I watch that combines two items and calls it “before and after”. It’s a nice series that you will soon find out where it gets the first part of the name from, and the second half comes from an old children's book I used to read, where you would leave bread crumbs to find your way back (Pre-GPS days), and with this road it wouldn't be necessary. It is very open and flat, NO Shade road (until the end) so make sure to do this on a cool day or take lots of sun screen or clothes (hats, long sleeve shirts etc.) to protect from the sun’s rays.

It can be accessed via hikingbiking (mountain bike, mostly hard packed but bumpy) or via horseback but only about half of the series (please refer to the map).

You must stop at the Ranger Station and not only pay for the daily fee $$ for the park, you also need a free parking pass to park at Pine Level Gate to access Pine Level Road unless someone is dropping you off and picking you up? You can be ticketed or towed if you do not have a parking pass here, so please be aware of this and make sure to ask at the Ranger Station prior to going for this run.

Please make sure to take adequate amounts of water and bug spray depending on the time of year. If you complete the series until the end (close to the power line) you will be awarded some shade from the sun and a bonus cache as well. A simple in-field puzzle will lead you to find the bonus cache.

It is around a 4 mile trek, 2 in and 2 back, 4 1/2 miles total round trip if you go for the bonus cache.

TIP: It also would advisable to bring a set of tweezers or needle nose pliers as geocaching tools for this run.

Please take a few seconds to close the container properly. What takes you a few seconds to do, saves us from spending hours and $$$$ replacing swag, logs and containers. Also please re-hide as well as you found it or better so it doesn't get muggled. Thanks!
