Geocache Description:

Whilst this log doesn't look like much it is an important piece of history for family. Sam was a timber cutter in Yelarbon. This log is a remnant of a large log that he fell which crushed his legs resulting in him losing one leg and a lot of function from the other. The local community where generous in their support for Sam and he carried on with life. Sam started keeping Bees and won Grand Champion Apiarist at the Brisbane Exhibition five years in a row. The log is a reminder that the human spirit can grow from great adversity. Enjoy the cache.
