"Geocachers around the world celebrate International Cache In Trash Out weekend annually by hosting and participating in Cache In Trash Out events in their local area. Events might be focused on litter clean-up, removal of invasive specieies, revegetation efforts or building trails. Together, we make an enormous positive impact. Did we mention that we also have a bit of fun while we're at it?"(geocaching.com)
"Since 2002, CITO has helped preserve the natural beauty of cache-friendly spaces. In that time, more than 240,000 people have volunteered at 11,000 CITO events." (geocaching.com)
The 16th Annual Cache In Trash Out weekend is scheduled for April 21 to 29, 2018.
Please join us at the Blackberry Creek Park on Saturday, April 21 at 10am to 11am. We have noticed quite a bit of ltter in the park recently, so it is once again in need of our attention.
Bags and gloves will be provided.
As always....eat some, visit some, work some, and earn a cool CITO souvenir!
We are planning on having breakfast for our wonderful volunteers, so be sure to log your "will attend" and number in your group so that we will have plenty. Does anyone want SBCP to pick up any biscuits??? (Hehehehehe)
