Time to head up the river and you will get your feet wet.
You can use a motor boat but if you dont know the river go slow as there are rocks just under the water in parts. I would suggest using a kayak or canoe .Park at Douglas park weir under the highway high above you its about 3-3.5k paddle. love this part of the river it is always great to get out and have a paddle. If you keep going you can go all the way back to Menangle weir it is about 12ks each way so if you intend to do this i would recommend you get dropped off and picked up at other end.
Lots of lizards to see the odd turtle and you may even see a fresh water eel but there all just doing there own thing when you get to coordinates you will need to get out of your water craft walk along the edge till you find what you are looking for. Not many places it can be.
You need to park water craft up on the small beach and get out for a well derserved rest. And a short walk you will get your feet wet again. you should be able to see camo from water craft please be shore to cover back up as you find.
