Geocache Description:

Sample Road borders the cities of Margate and Coral Springs and appears to be a clean and well maintained highway. For the most part it is...but to anyone who travels the sidewalk, trash is abundant and immediately evident. The purpose of this event is to remove the bulk of this litter, to beautify the surroundings, and to make Margate and Coral Springs proud of the geocaching community.

The cleanup will begin at 9:00 AM in the Coral Springs High School parking lot located on the northeast corner of Rock Island Road and Sample Road. The posted coordinates will bring you to the meeting spot at 7201 W. Sample Road, Coral Springs, FL 33065. Please plan to arrive a little early to sign-in and get instructions.

This CITO event is being supported by the Florida Adopt-a-Highway program - reflective vests, garbage bags and latex gloves will be provided to all participants. The DOT requires that attendees wear closed-toed shoes to protect against cuts and red ant stings. We will depart promptly at 9:00 AM and walk east on Sample Road to the Turtle Run subdivision, then return to the staging area. We have been granted permission to deposit our litter in the dumpsters behind Coral Springs High. The event should take no longer than 1 hour to complete.

See you there!
