Welcome to My Second Favourite Local Volcano. This one's easy. The cache is a plastic screw-top container that you'll find hidden across the road from a dormant volcano: Mount Kororoit.
With a volume of 2.5 L this cache is a Regular (M)* size and it shouldn't be too hard for you to find. There is safe, side of the road parking next to GZ.
The cache contains a log, a pen and a pencil, a First To Find card, and some swag. Please remember the geocaching rule to only take swag if you swap it for something of equal or greater value.
Please return the cache to its hiding place as you found it.
Now some information for volcano fans. Mount Kororoit is a small asymmetric conical dormant volcano with a flattened summit, capped by a rocky outcrop of lava and agglomerate. It has a steep southern slope and a long, gentle northern slope of eroded lava. If you drive 'around the block' you'll notice the differences in the slopes. The distance around the base is about 1500 metres and the hill rises about 100 metres above the surrounding terrain. It's estimated that the volcano was formed about 65 million years old and that it last erupted more than 1 million years ago.
