Geocache Description:

Welcome to Cache #4 in our series “Mesa Park Rangers 1.”

For details on the MPR 1 series and our Hall of Fame for completing it, please check our profile page.

*UPDATE: Cache has been replaced with a micro for stealth. Hiding place reflects the small size. Coordinates have been amended accordingly. Bring your own implement to sign log.*

Our micros are screw-tops the size of a silver dollar, with paint or other cammo. If attached to a surface, they can either be unscrewed, or detached and restuck.

You shouldn’t have to get tangled up or climb anything to find the cache. This quiet trail has disc-golfers playing through, so keep an eye out for flying objects! There is frequent daily foot traffic here; we'll be keeping an eye on whether this location can be kept a secret. No large rock or bush needs to be moved to find this one, and you probably don't want a bird’s eye view.

This park features a Community Fishing Lake, multiple playground structures, a paved nature trail around the lake, 36 holes of disc golf, and an undeveloped desert area for more secluded recreation including equestrian activities.

Red Mountain Park and the marked parking lots are open from Sunrise to 10:00 PM, or as posted.

The trail to the cache is accessible from either trailhead or the volleyball courts. Many park visitors are common on the weekends; generally more parking space is free in the North lots off of Brown Road.
