In 1899 the wooden church of St.Clement’s, Neyland was built ,as a daughter church to the Parish Church of St.Tudwal’s in Llanstadwell. In 1928 during a great storm most of the building blew down.Execpt for the East end.
The original wooden church building is still standing and is now the church hall, used both by the church and the community
It was then decided to build in stone, and the present St.Clement’s church building was started in Sept 1930. It is set in its own grounds just off the High St.
It is a very unattractive building from the outside, yet inside it is light with plenty of space. At the East end a parishioner has placed temporary plastic coloured windows that add colour and are designed around the theme of the Cross, the Eucharist and Disciplship.
