Geocache Description:

Tippecanoe Environmental Park sits behind the Charlotte Sports Park. The sports park is the Spring Training Home of the Tampa Bay Rays and their High A Class Affiliate - Charlotte Stone Crabs. Tippecanoe Environmental Park has numerous well-marked trails and boardwalks - great for the casual walker or hiker. Beyond the Tippecanoe Envonmental Park is the northern area of the Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park. The park is trully represents what they like to call "the Real Florida". There are some well-defined trails and then there are some that may take you out of your comfort zone. This short series of caches will take you to parts of the park you have probably never visited before.

When these caches were placed, the grass was 4-5 feet high, often the "trail" was dug up from feral hog activity and there were numerous places where you could not see where you were placing your feet. Some high adventure caching to say the least!

If you decide to take the challenge, the difficulty will be the terrain, not the hide. Maybe one day the trails will be better cleared and marked but I kinda like it the way it is now.

This cache was placed with permission of the Florida Park Service.
