Guns N’ Roses (GNR) is a hard rock American rock band formed in 1985. Their Debut album Appetite for Destruction was released in 1987 and it reached number 1 on the billboard 2000 a year after on the strength of the sing Sweet Child of Mine.
G N’ R Lies was released in 1988 and features this particular song. Patience was released in April 1989, recorded a single session using 3 acoustic guitars. The song is said to be a reflection of the troubles between lead singer Axl Rose and ex wife Erin Everly, though this was never officially confirmed by the band.
