This is the 8th annual Spring Fling Camp Woodsmoke to be held Saturday, June 23rd, 2018, at the Lions of District 25Fs beautiful Camp Woodsmoke east of Clarksburg, IN. You may come for the day or spend the weekend camping from Friday evening through Sunday early afternoon. This event is open to everyone and children are welcome with parent/grandparent.
SPRING FLING CAMP WOODSMOKE 2018..It's that time....June 22, 23, 24...Plan to stay the weekend or come for the day. New to Geocaching??? Or if you are an "old hand"??? this is an event for you! You may learn new things, make new friends and visit with many people excited about Geocaching! Everyone is welcome!
MAIN EVENT is Saturday, June 23rd, 10 AM to 10 PM. Meet at the shelter house.
Staying the weekend? You may arrive after 4:00 PM Friday, June 22nd and stay till 1:00 PM on Sunday, June 24th. Must make reservations!
It's time for our Spring Fling Camp Woodsmoke 2017 event the weekend of June 22, 23, 24th! The main event is Saturday, June 23rd, 10:00 A.M to 10:00 P.M., at the Shelter House. You are invited to camp the weekend (Friday 4:00 PM to Sunday 1:00 PM) or come for the day. Children are invited to attend with parent/grandparent and are your responsibility. (There will be activities for the children.)
There is no charge for the event, although a donation to help maintain Camp Woodsmoke would be appreciated. Camp is fully handicapped assessable. This is a private camp so there is no admittance to the camp before the named dates!! Camp will be open to the public for the event. The 264 wooded acres of Camp Woodsmoke holds ownership of four unique and truly beautiful trails including a fully accessible trail for handicapped. Caches will be hidden on all trails for your enjoyment.
Door prizes will be awarded and there will be some raffle items. Let's trade travel bugs, geocoins, etc. We have planned a wagon ride for Saturday evening! Join us in friendship and fun at this annual Spring Fling in the beauty of Camp Woodsmoke in southeast Indiana.
LOCATION: A nature's masterpiece, Camp Woodsmoke is located two miles east of Clarksburg, Indiana. This stunning camp is proudly owned and operated by the Lions Clubs of District 25F. Camp is only 20-30 minutes away from the historic village of Metamora, Rushville, and Greensburg, Indiana.
ACCOMMODATIONS: There are sleeping cabins with cots and fans/heaters (11 available) provided on a first come, first served basis. You may bring your tent, camper, or share a cabin. The cabins sleep 8-10 campers. Four of the cabins have 1/2 baths. The shower/restroom facility is located near the cabins. (You will be responsible for cleaning your cabin and helping clean the shower/restroom facility when staying the weekend.) MEALS: Bring your own food for Friday evening....we will have s'mores around a campfire! Bring items for breakfast each morning (Cereal, milk, juice along with paper goods will be provided.). A pitch-in lunch will be held Saturday at 12 noon. Saturday night enjoy a cookout (with hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, and toppings provided) and any donated food items you may have to share. There is a large refrigerator, freezer, and ice maker!
THINGS TO BRING: Food, water bottles, lawn chairs, boots for hiking (may be crossing the creek!), games, GPS, sun screen, bug spray, etc. If staying in a cabin, flat twin sheets/sleeping bags/blankets, pillows, wash cloth/towel/soap/shampoo, and personal items.
