A typical climb up, however once the top of the ridge is reached, it is realitvely flat or easy going. Some things or objects to keep an watch out for are along the way, depending on the direction of approach chosen, there is an abandoned deer stand on the top. Also, of intresting note very near the gz, about 150 feet I have posted cords in the log book for an old massive stump. How old do you think this object is? It was at one time a giant up here. Look inside, what do you see? Scars of an old fireperhaps? Lighting strike? Perhaps even this fell to the fires of 1918? I did not put the cache at the stump because I wanted to preserve this old time place for as long as possible.
Of course, please be careful to hang onto the cache when retreiving, so that it does not fall down inside of the hide spot. It should be easy though.
Not much room for swag, but there is a little in the container, but nothing terribly great or impressive, the container is nothing special, a small camo tape with a hook on it.
I do think that old tree stump is intresting though, solid, and still there after all these years, Evidence of some sort of fire at one time.
What do you think?
